At Jarebear Honey Company, our journey began with a deep-rooted passion for nature and a single insect ecology course at Berkeley. Our story is one of dedication, sustainability, and a commitment to bringing you the purest, most exquisite honey nature has to offer.
Beekeepers at Heart
Our founder, Jareth, discovered their love for beekeeping many years ago when they stumbled upon a few beekeeping books. Fascinated by the intricate world of bees and their vital role in pollination and honey production, they decided to embark on a journey that would change their lives forever.
Starting with just a few hives, we dedicated ourselves to the art and science of beekeeping. We learned from experience, invested in the equipment, and, most importantly, developed a profound respect for these remarkable insects. As our knowledge grew, so did our passion. Our founder is a Certified California Master Beekeeper, maintaining hives throughout Marin and Sonoma County.

Our commitment to sustainable beekeeping includes organic farming practices, no use of synthetic insecticides, and responsible hive management.
Local Bees, Local Products
What began as a small backyard beekeeping operation and plan to stick to our roots. Our bees are kept in their local yards year round. Pollinating flowers and plants in the North Bay and collecting only local pollen and nectar.

What Sets our honey apart?
Our honey is bottled raw and pure, in small batches. Instead of heating our honey and running it through filters, we strain our honey slowly so it maintains as much of its unique flavor and beneficial pollens as possible. You will notice every bottle of our honey will have slight difference in color and flavor. Each jar of our honey is a result of the local flowers and plants that can vary from location to location and year to year, creating natural and diverse honey flavors and experiences.
